Gerry Flynn

The 42 year old Former Irish Army Officer, Gerry Flynn has had a long and distinguished career in equestrian sport in Ireland, both in 3 Day Eventing and show jumping.

As an eventer he represented his country at all grades up to and including World Equestrian Games level, quickly gaining a reputation for his courage and willingness to go all out for the win. It was as a show jumper that Gerry really excelled; participating on 16 winning Nations Cup teams from a total of 43 appearances. He is a winner of 47 international classes, including 9 Grand Prix. In 2007 Gerry was the winner of 4 Grand Prix, including a victory at Dublin CSIO 5*. Gerry Flynn won President Cup with SIEC Comet in June 2008.

Gerry and his winner horse S.I.E.C. Janico had stunning results during 2009 jumping season including 3 victories in Ankara Show- GSGM Cup, Ministery of State Cup and General Stuff Cup. In the last big cup of the season 2009, he placed second with Janico in President Cup (1.45m). He was also the regional Champion of Istanbul among senior riders.

Adana Show had a final on 8th of November , full of excitement and contention. It is one more time the favorite combination Sencer Can and Cleveland that deserved the Prime Ministry Cup in 2009. The other strong couple SIEC Janico and Gerry Flynn took the second place in 36.29 sec with a clear round where Sencer stopped the time in 35.72 sec. SIEC TEAM DOMINATES ANKARA

SIEC Team Riders dominates the Private Cups and Turkish Championship for C.D.B and Ladies that was held in Capital Country Club in Ankara. Gerry Flynn produced a spectacular win at Ankara and won the top three cups in Ankara. GSGM Cup (1.30m), Ministry of State Cup (1.35m) and General Stuff Cup are taken by Gerry Flynn he and SIEC Janico were one of the best combination of the season and still keeping up their form at the top level though the competition season is almost finished in Turkey. more...

SIEC Wind at GSGM Cup

Since 1980 Private Cups of Ministery of State Cup and GSGM Cup are held together every year with a high profile of participants from Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Konya and Bursa. Irish rider Gerry Flynn placed 6th for twice on the last day at the 3* show in Marcopoulo Olympic Centre. Gerry Flynn and SIEC Worealla 2nd place in Young Horses Class

SIEC Team rider Gerry Flynn took the 2nd place on SIEC Worella today at the CSIO3*-W Athens show in Young Horses classes where 6 and 7 years old horses jump. Gerry completed the course in 56.09 sec with a clear round right after the German rider Armina Himmelreich on Cool Fox combination that had the best time (0/53.70). Gerry Flynn on Feng Schui at the 5th Place

The second day at the 3* show in Athens started with the 1.35m class. Gerry Flynn on Feng Schui completed the first round clear and continued in the second place. He had also another clear round in 31,85 sec which put him in to the 5th place.
