The Last Competition of 2009 Season D-Smart Series
Congratulartions to all the SIEC Club riders Mehmet Tekinel (SIEC Duty Free), Senem Kibar (Little Rock), Buket Tarhan (Picasso Z) and Aylin YIldız ( Lawyer) for their satisfying results with their coach Cedric Triolet.

All the riders experiencing the last efforts of 2009 competitions last weekend in Istanbul Riding Club, December 26-27 finished the season of 2009 by gathering on Saturday Night cocktail.
On Saturdays initial competition 90 cm, SIEC rider Mehmet Tekinel riding SIEC Duty Free finished the course in 67,69 seconds with a clear round where the winner of the competition was Barkın Aydın with Long Trip(IASK) and It was children Rider Cansu Yeğin with Hopkins wining D+ category.
In the second competition of the day, riders competed in 100 cm against the clock. The best two score came from Junior rider İris Gürçay riding Loupy (57,17) and Western(58,19) with clear rounds. Third place was filled by another Junior rider Buket Tarhan with Picasso (58,75) and SIEC’s D category Rider Mehmet Tekinel riding SIEC’s Duty Free placed fourth with the time of 59,83In 110cm competition it the winner was again İris Gürçay(KGCC) with Lopuy finishing the course in 65,01 seconds with a clear round, and Buket Tarhan again another follower of the top places with Picasso Z by taking the fourth place. In( D+) children category, it was promising rider Ülkan Delikan with his father’s Deja Vu and Gingster Noir taking the first two places.
Saturdays Last competition was held on 120 cms, Aylin Yıldız riding lawyer took eighth place 83,56 with one time penalty for exceeding the time allowed.On the second day at the show, SIEC riders lead by SIEC Coach and FEI Tutor Cedric Triolet continued their clear rounds and made top 5 results.
First result of the day came from Mehmet Tekinel and S.I.E.C. Duty Free combination producing his 3rd clear round of the weekend that put him in the 4th place among 26 competitors of the category. The winner was again Barkın Aydın on Long Trip riding for IASK.In 105cm Buket Tarhan riding her bay geldin Picasso Z kept on chasing the top 3 on the second day at the show. She had a clear round in 61.34 and saved her victory until Fadime Gurdal riding Ocean(53.84/0) improved her timing by 8 sec and placed first right before Buket. Mehmet Tekinel had another nice clear round on his mare and took 12th place finishing 2 days with 4 clear rounds and 3 top 5 placing.
In 115cm Aylin Yildiz riding Lawyer and Senem Kibar riding Little Rock finished with clear rounds and made their contribution to the high performance of SIEC riders. As a result, SIEC trainer and FEI Tutor Cedric Triolet and his riders have made a good closing to 2009 season. Congratulations to him and his crew for their stunning results and hope to see them repeating their successes in the 2010 jumping season.
Cameron Has gone to Belgium for CSI5*-W Mechelen show which started on 26th of December. On the second day Cameron rode 9 year old gelding S.I.E.C. Cotarus Z in todays’ 1.40m and had a clear round in 65.83sec which put him in the 9th place. Nicola Philippaerts on Carlos won the title of winner in 53.06sec among 42 starters. more...
During 2009 jumping season around 300 young riders from 30 different nations tried to get the ticket of the final of the European Youngster Tour in various qualifying competitions which took place throughout the year in the run up to the big Final in last weekends' Frankfurt Horse Show. more...
The “Leading Rider of 2009”, SIEC Team member Cameron Hanley competed with S.I.E.C. Caro Ass and S.I.E.C. Livello on Friday 18, at Olympia Exhibition Halls, London International Horse Show, and managed to keep two top ten positions at 1.50m class. more...

SIEC rider Derin Demirsoy is presented his medal by Isa Capanoglu, TBSV Chairman of the Board, for being the most successful young rider of the season. The award is led by Mr. Capanoglu fir the first time this season and he stated that the award will be traditional for the “Children, Juniors and Young Riders”. Adana Show had a final on 8th of November , full of excitement and contention. It is one more time the favorite combination Sencer Can and Cleveland that deserved the Prime Ministry Cup in 2009. Cameron and Aristo had the fastest time among 56 starters and put their name at the first place with 49.73 sec. SIEC Team Riders dominates the Private Cups and Turkish Championship for C.D.B and Ladies that was held in Capital Country Club in Ankara. Gerry Flynn produced a spectacular win at Ankara and won the top three cups in Ankara. In the Young Horses Class 1.25 (6 years old)- 1.30m (7 years old) Gerry Flynn on the 6 years old mare SIEC Worella qualified for the jump off with 6 riders and he placed 6th with 4 penalties. The second day at the 3* show in Athens started with the 1.35m class. Gerry Flynn on Feng Schui completed the first round clear and continued in the second place. He had also another clear round in 31,85 sec which put him in to the 5th place. The third day of Bosphorus International Horse Show witnessed the victory of Turkish rider Omer Karaevli on Quinto II Van Besseminds in the Accumulator which is at the 1.40 m height. Team Syria is the winner of FEI Nation’s Cup of Istanbul after 2 rounds of 1.50m course. On Friday 4th 5 Teams (18 riders) including Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Syria and Turkey competed in the Nation’S Cup .
