SIEC-FEI WORLD YOUTH SERIES WAS AT THE 2009 FEI GENERAL ASSEMBLY
All the attention of the equestrian world was on the FEI 2009 National Assembly 15-20 December Copenhagen Denmark. The meeting gathered the representatives of the 102 countries and FEI Delegates in which Turkey was embodied by FEI World Youth Series with a stand from S International Equestrian Center at the entrance of the assembly.

The SIEC - FEI World Youth Series, which was proclaimed to all the national federations of the equestrian world and evolved in to a series in 2009, was concerned as one of the major headlines of the meeting in terms of development projects. Furthermore; the champion team of the series was also awarded at the meeting.
After the evaluation of the results from the groups that organized the series, South African team is announced to be the very first world wide champion of SIEC FEI World Youth Series. The winner of the Region 5 was Venezuela, Hungary had the first place in Region 1 and South African team was the champion of Region 9
The awards were presented on a Gala Night held in Tivoli Gardens by The Project Coordinator of SIEC PJ McCartan and FEI President Princess Haya

SIEC rider Derin Demirsoy is presented his medal by Isa Capanoglu, TBSV Chairman of the Board, for being the most successful young rider of the season. The award is led by Mr. Capanoglu fir the first time this season and he stated that the award will be traditional for the “Children, Juniors and Young Riders”. SIEC Team Riders dominates the Private Cups and Turkish Championship for C.D.B and Ladies that was held in Capital Country Club in Ankara. Gerry Flynn produced a spectacular win at Ankara and won the top three cups in Ankara. Since 1980 Private Cups of Ministery of State Cup and GSGM Cup are held together every year with a high profile of participants from Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Konya and Bursa. In the Young Horses Class 1.25 (6 years old)- 1.30m (7 years old) Gerry Flynn on the 6 years old mare SIEC Worella qualified for the jump off with 6 riders and he placed 6th with 4 penalties. The second day at the 3* show in Athens started with the 1.35m class. Gerry Flynn on Feng Schui completed the first round clear and continued in the second place. This morning at CSI 3* Cortina, Sevil Sabanci, riding SIEC Aristo, finished 3rd in the 1.30m class, in a field of 30 competitors. This result qualifies Sevil for one of 10 places in the Final of the 1.30m category which will be contested on Sunday.
